The Bakehouse Studio

The day the doors closed on the old bakehouse, no-one expected it would remain untouched for 13 years until an artist, looking for studio space, would be pointed in its direction.

As soon as Julie walked through the door she knew she had found her space. Unfortunately her space was full of dough mixers, rusting bread tins, display cabinets and other items that had not moved since the bakers shop closed.

So began a labour of love. With a lot of hard work, and a little help from her friends, Julie has created the Bakehouse Studio.  Since then, an adjoining room has been renovated and is now the Bakehouse Gallery - a display area Julie uses to showcase her work.
